New Delhi:

After Draupadi Murmu was elected the 15th President of the country, there has been an influx of congratulations from both sides.

Along with the ruling party, all the leaders of the opposition congratulated President Draupadi Murmu.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP President JP Nadda reached President Draupadi Murmu's house to congratulate him on his victory.

At the same time, many other leaders congratulated him through social media.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote, "Congratulations to Draupadi Murmu on being elected the 15th President of the country."

Here Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has also congratulated Draupadi Murmu on the victory.

Congratulatory messages have started coming from other countries as well.

Nepal's Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has congratulated Draupadi Murmu on being elected the President of India.

"I am confident that the excellent bilateral relations between Nepal and India will see new heights in the days to come," he tweeted.

Religious leader Dalai Lama also congratulated Murmu.

He said that you are holding this high position at a time when the international community has become more aware of the importance of India.
