Deputies will vote on the first reading of four draft laws for changes to the Labor Code, the draft program for the work of the parliament foresees.

A week ago, the individual proposals were presented and discussed in the plenary hall, but they were not voted on due to a lack of quorum.

One of the bills was introduced by the Council of Ministers (CoM).

It regulates the individual right of the father (adoptive parent) to leave in the amount of two months for raising a child up to the age of eight, in case he has not used leave transferred by the mother (adoptive parent).

The Parliamentary Group (PG) of GERB-SDS proposes that May 24 be declared a national holiday.

There are two bills for changes to the Labor Code, introduced by the PG of "Vazrazhdane".

One provides for additional paid leave to be granted to a parent with one or more children up to the age of 18, one day for each child, but not more than four working days in each calendar year.

The second draft law proposes that people's representatives be on unpaid leave for the duration of their mandate as such, regardless of their previous position and workplace.

After the expiration or early termination of the mandate, within 15 days they occupy their previous position.

The Committee on Labor, Social and Demographic Policy proposes the adoption of only the draft law of the Council of Ministers.

Deputies are also expected to vote on a draft decision on the transformation of the Veliko Tarnovo-based faculty of the Vasil Levski National Military University, as well as on amending the decision of the National Assembly on the transformation of the Vasil Levski Higher Military General Military School, which also was introduced a week ago.

Due to a lack of quorum, the vote on the second reading of the amendments to the Law on Statistics of Intra-Community Trade in Goods was also postponed for this week
