"The red lines of the negotiators to form a government are flexible. PP would go to new elections, but they risk getting out of government. The rest have no desire to go to elections. This is the only solution that can be a coalition... And yes there is a government, it cannot last long. I do not see a meaningful program".

This is what Ivaylo Kalfin told BNR

Ivaylo Georgiev Kalfin was born on May 30, 1964 in Sofia. In 1983 he graduated from the 9th French, director of the European Agency for the Improvement of Life and Work, former deputy prime minister, former foreign and social minister and former MEP.

According to him, the strong dependence on Russian gas is also a strong political dependence on Russia, "and the political issue for us is the search for energy independence":

"Fortunate for Bulgaria is that we are small consumers of gas. Therefore, it would be easier for us to find alternative sources and this is the government's job. The Bulgarian government depends on the decisions of the EU, which is not enough. Russian gas cannot be replaced 100% with alternative sources. The correct solution is to look for less dependence on gas and more interest in other sources. It is not acceptable that the entire economy of Europe depends on the decisions in the Kremlin".

Kalfin added that the EU is a tool that helps the member countries, "but it would be bad if we perceive it as a bad manager that we have to lie to Andreszkovsky":

Kalfin: It is unacceptable and unprofessional for Mitrofanova to issue ultimatums

"If we really think that there is a problem and that we can all solve it together, we will be more successful. If we think that someone is imposing solutions on us and we will outsmart them, there is no way that some measures will be successful".
