The former prosecutor Ali Rexha was arrested today, who allegedly threatened the prosecutor of Lulzim Sulejmani.

The news was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Prishtina Basic Prosecutor's Office, Laureta Ulaj, who said that the same person is suspected of threats.

"Today, by order of the prosecutor, the suspect was detained for the criminal offense of 'intimidation'," Ulaj informed Kallxo.com.

Rexha allegedly threatened prosecutor Lulzim Sylejmani today (Wednesday).

The Prosecution Council of Kosovo has also reacted to this.

The Prosecutorial Council of Kosovo strongly condemns the threat against the Prosecutor in the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, Lulzim Sulejmani.

In a statement to the media, it is said that these serious threats against prosecutor Sulejmani are the result of the prosecutor's commitments within the framework of his activities in the disciplinary processes, carried out some time ago, against the former special prosecutor, Ali Rexha.

The Prosecutorial Council strongly supports prosecutor Lulzim Sulejmani and provides full support in his work while exercising his function as State Prosecutor.

The KPK assures the public opinion that the threats to the prosecutors will not deter the goals and continuous efforts to strengthen the rule of law and asks the competent bodies to treat this case with due seriousness and urgency.

In the meantime, earlier in the day, the portal contacted former prosecutor Ali Rexha, who, indicating that he is not in good health, said that he did not physically threaten prosecutor Sulejmani.

"I am not in good health, but I can say that I did not threaten him physically.

I told him to 'break the law', to 'break the court', I don't mean physically..., said Rexha over the phone.

On the other hand, the prosecutor Lulzim Sulejmani said that the case happened today and he immediately reported it to the Police.

"It is a legal matter, I have reported the case to the police station.

The council has its own affairs, it has reacted.

The case happened today.

I don't want to exaggerate the case, the law enforcement agencies are just dealing with this," Sulejmani said.
