We are against sanctions against Iran.

APA's Tehran office reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this in a meeting with Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

He said that the brotherhood of Iran and Turkey should be expanded in all fields.

"We have always been and will be against unilateral sanctions against Iran.

We support the legitimate expectations of Iran within the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan and encourage Turkish companies to invest in Iran."

He noted that terrorist groups in Syria are seriously supported by Western countries such as Germany, England, France, and especially the United States:

"Turkey's position regarding the territorial integrity of Syria is clear, we expect the Syrian government to start political processes."

Erdogan said that the Syrian issue is on the agenda at the Astana process summit to be held in Tehran and they hope to achieve good results.
