In the 2021-2022 academic year, summative assessment was organized in digital form in about 500 general educational institutions.

According to the information given to APA by the Ministry of Education, at the initial stage, in the first semester of the last academic year, a large summative assessment was conducted in digital form in the V, VI, VII and VIII classes of 40 general educational institutions, including subjects of teaching language, mathematics and foreign language.

In the first semester, 16,489 students of selected institutions participated in the evaluation process.

During the second half of the 2021-2022 academic year, 40 selected general educational institutions were instructed to organize small summative assessments in digital form on a voluntary basis, after which an instruction letter was sent to all general educational institutions across the country to conduct summative assessments in digital form if they have technical support and the Internet.

As a result, more than 20,000 students of about 500 general educational institutions participated in the digital summative assessment in the second semester.

The general situation regarding the organization of digital assessment across the country was evaluated and the conducted analyzes showed that the digital organization of the assessment process created favorable conditions for ensuring flexible accountability.

It should be noted that the digital large summative assessment is the summative assessment organized in educational institutions in electronic form (using computer equipment and appropriate software) in the school building.

Digital assessment is conducted on the "Virtual school" platform.

While paper-based assessment tools can only be used once, materials and resources can be reused when implementing digital assessment.

This, in turn, saves time for the preparation of evaluation materials.

At the same time, the digital evaluation process is implemented in the virtual classroom during the designated time.

This advantage leads to optimization of evaluation time.

The questions and the assessment process are organized by the school management and teachers of the relevant subject, students get information about the results on the spot.

From the next academic year, the scope of digital assessment will be expanded.
