Under the initiative and organization of the State Fire Control Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), a joint event was held with the participation of the relevant institutions of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the employees of the Executive Power of Sabail District, under the motto "Let's ensure fire safety together".

APA informs that the event took place in the 3rd mining area of Bibiheybat Oil and Gas Extraction Department of "Azneft" PU, Gulbala Aliyev Street, Bayil Settlement, Sabail District, Baku.

It was stated at the event that the total area of that area is about 90 hectares.

There are 5 tanks for receiving oil from the fields at the Central Oil Storage Station, which is located on an area of 40 hectares.

Five of them are 2,000 m3, and two tanks are designed for storage of crude oil with a volume of 1,000 m3, and oil is transported from these tanks to the Oil Pipeline Administration located 500 meters away.

In the area there are 150 wells, 70 mancanak machines, small volume tanks for collecting oil sediments, collector and pipelines, gas compressor and separator devices, oil heating furnaces.

In addition, high-voltage power lines from the 110 kV substation belonging to "Azerishiq" JSC, and a 325-millimeter medium-pressure gas pipeline from the Badamdar settlement gas treatment plant belonging to "Azerigas" PU pass through the area.

In short, being an industrial zone, this area is considered a risky residential zone in terms of the presence of residential houses located directly near oil wells.

Oil and gas pipelines in the area are surrounded by reeds and bushes.

In addition, construction and household waste, including flammable materials, were thrown into this area by people or companies carrying out construction works nearby, which caused the area to be classified as a high risk group and could cause a real fire.

Evaluating the current situation, the State Fire Control Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications regularly makes demands on fire safety, including administrative measures, against the relevant organizations of all relevant institutions responsible for keeping the territories clean.

However, such cases still remain.

Starting from today, with the involvement of related institutions and municipal employees, with the initiative and organization of the State Fire Control Service, large-scale cleaning of the area from bushes, reed fields, waste, bringing oil and gas pipes into a safe operating condition, and reliable protection of nearby residential houses. improvement works have been started.

In order to achieve the cleaning of dry bushes and reed areas in the protection zones of residential houses with oil wells, mancanak machines, district utility workers were initially instructed to start work from the mentioned areas.
