The protocol signed yesterday by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia Buyar Osmani and his colleague from Bulgaria Teodora Genchovska is a diplomatic knockout and capitulation, said the leader of VMRO-DPMNE Hristiyan Mitskoski, quoted by BTA.

According to Mickoski, this protocol opens the door for Albania to start negotiations, but closes the door for Skopje.

This protocol opened the door to negotiations for Albania and partly closed it for Macedonia, because as Genčovska herself said, the real intergovernmental conference will not take place now, but immediately after the change of the constitution, Mickoski said today during a visit to the new park in Gazi Baba in response to a journalistic question.

Mickoski stated that there will be no change in the constitution, and VMRO-DPMNE is the guarantor of this, because the government does not have the support of a two-thirds majority in the parliament.

"Regarding reciprocity, here I will give an example. Genchovska gave us an example that she does not recognize the Macedonian language. Will we reciprocate that we do not recognize the Bulgarian language? Genchovska insists that Bulgarians be part of the preamble and the normative part of the Constitution, while at the same time insisting to disown our Macedonians in Bulgaria. Is this reciprocity? I can list more such examples, both in the historical facts part and in the textbook changes part. Basically we are talking about a diplomatic capitulation or knockout and an open door for negotiations with Albania and further partially closing our door," Mickoski said.
