The reasons for the tragedy in Greece, in which a Ukrainian plane loaded with weapons for Bangladesh crashed near Kavala, are still unclear.

Inspections by civil defense teams, the military and the administration continue.

Six of the crew's bodies have been found, two more are being sought.

No substances hazardous to human health were found at the plane crash site in Greece

The surrounding area is not at risk of gassing, as the authorities have taken timely measures for the safety of people, reports the correspondent of BNT in Greece, Angel Toshev.

"Explosions were heard throughout the night and it is not possible to say with 100% that everything was blown up. The destruction may last a week because the debris is scattered over a very large area," he said.

The investigation so far reveals that two minutes before the plane crashed, one of the pilots reported that one engine was failing and catching fire.

Radar contact is then lost and the plane explodes in mid-air.

It is not yet known what happened to the machine.
