In January-June 2022, 22.5 billion manat worth of food products, beverages and tobacco products, 9.9 billion manat worth of non-food goods were sold to consumers in the retail trade network.

According to the information provided to "APA-Economics" by the State Statistics Committee, compared to January-June 2021, retail trade turnover increased by 2.9 percent in real terms, including food products, beverages and tobacco products by 2.3 percent, non- increased by 3.6 percent on food products.

During the reporting period, the commodity market was characterized by the following indicators.

In January-June 2022, 51.2 percent of the funds spent by buyers on final consumption goods were food products, 4.9 percent were beverages and tobacco products, 12.7 percent were textile products, clothing and shoes, 5.7 percent were automobile gasoline and diesel fuel, 4.8 percent of electrical goods and furniture, 2.5 percent of pharmaceutical products and medical supplies, 1.1 percent of computers, telecommunication equipment and printing products, and 17.1 percent of other non-food goods.

In January-June 2022, the value of goods sold by economic entities of the non-state sector increased by 2.9 percent in real terms compared to the same period of the previous year and accounted for 99.7 percent of the total retail trade turnover.

Compared to January-June 2021, the retail trade turnover in real terms increased by 6.0 percent for enterprises, 7.5 percent for markets and fairs, and decreased by 1 percent for individual entrepreneurs.

During the reporting period, one resident of the country purchased an average of 373.5 manat per month in the retail trade network, including food products, beverages and tobacco products worth 209.6 manat, and non-food goods worth 163.9 manat.
