"Wagner" lowers recruitment standards, hires convicts and people who were previously on "black lists".

Very limited training is available for recruits.

This, most likely, will affect the future operational effectiveness of the group and reduce its value as a support for regular Russian forces," says the message published by the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain.

"Russia has used the private military company Wagner to strengthen its forces on the front line, as well as to reduce personnel shortages and casualties.

"Wagner" almost certainly played a central role in the last battles, including the capture of Papasnaya and Lisichansk.

These battles caused great losses to the group," the report notes.

British intelligence reminds that Yevgeny Prigozhin, who is called the sponsor of "PMC Wagner", recently received the title of Hero of Russia for the company's work in Luhansk (telegram channels wrote about it, but there is no official confirmation).

"At a time when a number of high-ranking Russian military commanders are being replaced, this is likely to exacerbate dissatisfaction between the military and Wagner," British intelligence officers believe.
