Hyderabad:

A bridge turned into a pool of water due to frequent floods in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The Godavari river flowing in spate is flowing over the Kunavaram bridge, the road above the bridge is not visible.

A video of this has surfaced, in this video clip of 23 seconds it can be seen that a group of people are crossing the bridge filled with water on foot.

Kunavaram is said to be the confluence of the Sabari and Godavari rivers.

Dozens of cows trapped in floods in Kunavaram have been rescued by the police.

Many villages have been submerged by the flood of the river.

It has been raining heavily in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the past one week.

Due to which the low-lying areas have been flooded and due to which agriculture and roads have also been damaged.

The water level in the Godavari river at Temple Town in Bhadrachalam reached a record 71.20 feet on Saturday morning, 53 feet above the third warning level.

Due to this there has been flood at many places in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district.

The district administration has appealed to the people living in sensitive areas to go to relief camps without delay.

The Telangana government on Friday carried out extensive rescue and relief operations, including moving over 10,000 people to relief camps with the help of the army.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao asked Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to provide a helicopter following a request by Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, who was overseeing the relief work in Bhadrachalam.
