The European Commission approved today a project for the extraction, storage and delivery of hydrogen, as well as for the production of hydrogen fuel cells, Reuters reported.

Within the framework of the project, the creation of mobile applications for users of transport services is also envisaged.

15 EU countries and 35 companies participate in its financing, for which 5.4 billion euros have already been secured.

Among them are corporations such as "Bosch", "Enel", "Alstom" and "Daimler".

"Siemens" launches hydrogen trains in Germany

Another 8.8 billion euros are expected to be attracted from private investors for the implementation of the "Hy2Tech" (Hy2Tech) project.

It is part of the EU initiative called "Important projects of common European interest".
