The Institute for Road Safety asked Prime Minister Kiril Petkov for an international audit of the condition of the roads.

However, he refused on the grounds that it was "politically unacceptable".

This is what Bogdan Milchev from the Institute told bTV.

"This audit would prove that our roads are of poor quality and kill.

The answer was that it was "politically unacceptable".

This audit would return billions from the construction companies, and then these billions would not go to political coffers, but to our roads," Milchev said.

According to him, the fight against the war on the roads has a huge food chain of police, insurers and many others, for whom it is not profitable for it to decrease.

Road maintenance in our country is sloppy

“This food chain is now going to crucify me once again.

We are alone in front of them until a government appears that is ready to fight this chain," declared Milchev emotionally.

He added that he had talked to a total of 7 governments and four prime ministers on the subject, but none of them had made the necessary efforts to stop the war on the roads.

“This is not a fight for me to fight for anyone.

This is my life.

I will not get tired of harassing these prime ministers and politicians until we really break and destroy this food chain," said Bogdan Milchev.
