For the first time in Azerbaijan, during the construction of viaducts (a bridge built over a stream) on the Ahmedbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway, concreting works are carried out by the method of horizontal sliding of overpass forms.

According to the information provided to "APA-Economics" by the State Agency of Azerbaijan Highways, it is considered more appropriate to use this method in high-gauge viaducts built over river crossings in international practice.

Concreting works by the method of horizontal sliding of forms are used in the construction of 3, including the viaduct built on the 79.7th km of the Ahmedbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway and the average length of which is 380 m (left-410 m, right-350 m).

It should be noted that the 81.6 km long Ahmedbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway is being built with 4-6 traffic lanes according to the 1st technical grade.

Along the road, 137 culverts of different diameters (7,200 p/m), 30 underpasses (1,110 m), 7 bridges (763 p/m), 7 tunnels (6,358 m) and 9 viaducts (1,980 m) are being built.
