Bangalore :

A committee formed in Karnataka on the National Education Committee has advocated the removal of non-vegetarian items from midday meals across the country.

Significantly, more than 80 percent of the people in Karnataka consume eggs or meat.

According to this committee, eating eggs or meat causes disease. This is the latest in a series of suggestions made by expert committees that have presented 25 position papers before the state government so far.

One such panel has termed the Pythagoras theorem as fake.
