Chemist Umesh Kolhe was stabbed to death on June 21

In connection with the investigation into the murder of a chemist in Maharashtra's Amravati, a team of the National Investigation Tribunal (NIA) on Wednesday brought two accused to the crime scene and tried to repeat the sequence of events and learn important facts related to it.

Police sources gave this information. The NIA tried to know important facts related to the incident by bringing two of the seven accused arrested in this case from Mumbai to Amravati.

It is noteworthy that on June 21, chemist Umesh Kolhe was stabbed to death.

He was returning home after closing his shop. Umesh Kolhe had reportedly made some remarks on social media in support of suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Nupur Sharma.

Some people had killed Umesh over this post. Actually, Nupur Sharma had made objectionable remarks about Prophet Mohammad, against whom there were demonstrations in many parts of the country and the world.

According to police sources, on Wednesday morning, the NIA team brought two accused, 24-year-old Taufeeq alias Nanu Sheikh Taslim and 22-year-old Ateeb Rashid Adil Rashid, and replayed the sequence of events at the crime scene and tried to find out important facts related to the incident.
