Polina Sharenda-Panasyuk was detained on January 3 in her own house, where the security forces broke into.

On June 9, the court of the Moscow district of Brest sentenced her to 2 years in prison.

She was found guilty immediately under three articles of the Criminal Code: "Insulting the President" (Art. 368), "Insulting a representative of the authorities" (Art. 369) and "Violence or threat of violence against an employee of internal affairs bodies" (Art. 364). .

She did not plead guilty to any of the charges, insisting that her imprisonment was illegal.

Polina was supposed to be released in September this year.

However, in February,


another closed trial of Polina began on the territory of the Gomel women's colony.

On April 7, the activist was sentenced to an additional year of imprisonment and accused of maliciously disobeying the demands of the administration of the correctional institution.

Some time after the verdict, Polina Sharenda-Panasyuk was transferred from the colony to SIZA-3 in Gomli.
