In 2020, he experienced the most glorious days in the history of Azerbaijan.

Under the leadership of President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the heroic Azerbaijani Army ended the 30-year occupation in 44 days.

As a result of military operations lasting 44 days from September 27 to November 8, 2020, the victorious Azerbaijan Army captured the cities of Jabrayil, Fuzuli, Zangilan, Gubadli, Shusha city, Minjivan, Agband, Bartaz settlements of Zangilan district, Hadrut settlement of Khojavend district and many villages, Tartar liberated more than 300 settlements, including the village of Sugovushan of the district, several villages of Khojaly and Lachin districts, as well as important strategic heights in the directions of Aghdara, Murovdag and Zangilan.

By the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev, September 27 is celebrated as "Memorial" and November 8 as "Victory" Day in Azerbaijan.

But, of course, no war is without losses.

During the 44-day Patriotic War, 2908 people were martyred and 6 people went missing.

In the post-war period, various support projects were implemented for the families of martyrs and veterans.

Shortly after the war, the "YASHAT" Foundation was established on December 8, 2020 by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev in order to support the families of martyrs and veterans.

To date, 73 956 879.61 funds have been received to the Fund's account.

Family members of 2,927 martyrs, as well as 5,650 wounded, were met with a total of 17,015 people and their needs were recorded in the territory of the country.

27,232 applications of 12,652 persons were committed for execution, and the number of realized payments was 22,454.

Funds in the amount of 62,597,613.17 AZN were spent on the fund's activities.

The remaining amount is 11,359,266.44 AZN.

AZN 37,378,900.00 of the spent funds were used for improving household conditions, AZN 558,046.40 for education, professional training and development of creative potential, AZN 6,378,921.46 for meeting consumer loans and other debt obligations, and AZN 18,281,745.31 for treatment and psychological support.

A total of 10,422 applications were provided, including 4,456 applications of martyred family members, 7, and 5,959 applications of missing family members for the improvement of household conditions.

The fund has not forgotten the newly born martyr deposits.

Regarding the 102 children of martyrs who were born after September 27, 2020, within the framework of the "They entrusted us" project implemented by the Foundation, financial assistance in the amount of AZN 1,000 was provided to cover the necessary expenses of the newborn children of martyrs, and AZN 5,000 was given to the children of the martyrs. a deposit account has been opened.

A deposit account in the amount of 5000 AZN was opened in the name of 7 children of martyrs who lost both their parents.

A total of 220 applications were provided, including 179 applications of the martyred family members and 41 applications of the wounded in the direction of education, professional training and development of creative potential.

254,637.99 AZN funds were received by the educational institutions on the initiative of the fund.

The payment of 97 persons whose tuition fees were covered by the Fund, and the payment of 72 persons was covered by educational institutions at the initiative of the Fund.

Until June 23, 2022, a protocol of intent was signed between the "YASHAT" Foundation, the business department and a number of private educational institutions for the purpose of providing free education to the children of martyrs.

In addition, cooperation with a number of training centers has been established.

For the 2021-2022 academic year, a one-time monetary award of 2000 AZN was established by the "Yaşat" Foundation for the members of the families of martyrs who were admitted to the officially accredited higher education institutions and for the military servicemen whose disabilities were determined in connection with the protection of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

To date, 2,000 AZN funds have been transferred to 49 people (31 family members of martyrs and 18 wounded).

A total of 9,763 applications were provided, including 5,093 applications of the family members of the martyrs and 4,670 applications of the wounded for payment of treatment and psychological support costs.

In total, 178 people were sent to the Republic of Turkey for treatment, 172 of them are seriously injured, and 6 are family members of martyrs.

156 of those who received treatment returned to the country.

Currently, the treatment of 21 seriously injured and 1 family member of the martyr continues in the Republic of Turkey.

More than 150 wounded were examined by Turkish doctors who were brought to our country with the support of "YASHAT" Foundation.

On March 10, 2021, a doctor invited from Turkey examined the severely wounded who were in a coma.

From February 28 to March 7, 2021, 8 specialists specializing in the treatment of military injuries were brought from Israel, and 148 people with severe eye problems were examined.

According to the examination results, 30 people were operated on, and 2 people's eyesight was restored as a result of the operation.

55 people were given prosthetic eyes, and 82 people were simply examined.

"RGO" orthopedic devices in the amount of 38,999.00 AZN, ordered from abroad by the "YASHAT" Foundation, were brought to our country in order to speed up the physical recovery process of the wounded who received serious physical trauma.

The equipment was used to treat 8 wounded.

A Giger MD rehabilitation device was purchased in the amount of 47,200 AZN to be used for the treatment of 35-40 injured people during the day.

On August 12, 2021, Masud Ashina, a member of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, professor of neurology and chief consultant of the University of Copenhagen, head of the International Headache Society and director of the Human Migraine Research Association, Masud Ashina, examined 34 injured people and determined treatment directions.

On the same day, at the same time, a doctor from the state of Israel examined 9 wounded people and determined treatment directions.

In Turkey (Istanbul, Bursa and Izmit), a commission was organized (January 13-January 16, 2022) for the purpose of evaluating the degree of disability of 28 seriously injured patients who received treatment with the support of the Foundation.

The members of the commission include two employees of the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency and two employees of the "Medical Territorial Units Management Union".

A team of doctors (brain surgeon, plastic-aesthetic surgeon and pediatric hematologist) from the medical staff of "VM Medikal Park" hospital, one of the largest hospitals in Turkey, arrived in our country.

Doctors examined 20 wounded and one martyred child who underwent surgery in Turkey and returned to the country after successfully completing the treatment.

On May 20 of this year, a meeting was held with representatives of the "YASHAT" Foundation, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, and the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance.

At the meeting, discussions were held on where to continue the rehabilitation process of some persons who are undergoing treatment in the Republic of Turkey when they return to the country.

One of the ways in which the Fund disburses funds is to meet consumer loans and other debt obligations.

For this purpose, a total of 2,022 applications were provided, including 836 applications of martyred family members, 3 applications of missing family members and 1,183 applications of the injured.

125,926.74 AZN funds were received by the enterprises on the initiative of the fund.

With the joint organization of "YASHAT" Foundation and "ASAN Volunteers" Organization, from July 12 to August 28, 2021, 6 camps covering 211 children were organized in the city of Lankaran for the children of martyrs covering 3 different age groups.

Within the framework of the project, entertainment hours for children, educational trainings, theaters, meetings with professionals who have a positive image in their field, heads of institutions, excursions, as well as trainings with the participation of psychologists, consultations and concert programs with the participation of singers were carried out in each camp.

Each camp covered a total of 6 days and 5 nights.

"YASHAT" sports camp was held in Gabala from May 27 to May 30 this year with the organization of "YASHAT" Foundation, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the support of Bank Respublika and the partnership of "ASAN Volunteers" Organization.

The project included children of martyrs from Kurdamir, Balakan, Sheki, Gabala, Shamakhi and Imishli who were interested in sports.

Within the framework of the project, 22 children of martyrs in the age range of 8-13 years were involved in the training of football, taekwondo, martial arts, judo, boxing, gymnastics and other sports by the professional coaching staff at the Gabala Olympic and Sports Complex.

At the same time, they appeared together with the players in the final match of the Azerbaijan Cup.

The main goal of the project is to support children to achieve a brighter future while ensuring their comprehensive development, to increase interest in sports,

The 2nd "Yaşat" camp for the children of martyrs started on July 4 and will be held until the end of August under the joint organization of "Yaşat" Foundation and "ASAN Volunteers" Organization.

In total, it is planned to implement 6 camps that will cover more than 300 children.

Within the framework of the project, entertainment hours for children, educational trainings, theaters, meetings with professionals who have a positive image in their field, heads of institutions, excursions, as well as trainings, consultations with the participation of psychologists, and a concert program with the participation of singers are planned in each camp.

Each camp will cover a total of 5 nights and 6 days.

The camp will include the children of our martyrs in the age categories of 10-11, 12-14, 15-17.

The first week of the camp took place from July 4 to July 9, 2022.

From March 18 to March 21, 2021, 4,000 boxes of Nowruz gifts worth 368,000.00 AZN were distributed to the families of martyrs and the seriously injured who were treated in bed in medical institutions under the joint organization of the "YASHAT" Foundation and the "Bravo" market chain.

It should be noted that until today, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population has assigned up to 16 thousand social payments (Presidential scholarship, allowance or pension) to up to 8 thousand family members of the martyrs of the Patriotic War, disability and related social payments have been assigned to 3,151 war participants.

This year, the process of assigning the President's monthly stipend to 81,856 persons named "war veteran" has been completed.

In total, 104,000 social payments were assigned to 93,000 people.

Social payments were made proactively through the electronic system, without citizens' appeals.

The amount of social payments for the families of martyrs, war disabled has been increased by an average of 60% in 2021-2022.

From January 1, 2021, the President's scholarship was established for the Heroes of the Patriotic War, and from January 1, 2022, the President's scholarship was established for the veterans of the Patriotic War.

One of the important social support measures is the provision of housing and private houses to the families of martyrs and war disabled people.

This program has been expanded 5 times in 2021.

Last year, 3,000 apartments were given to the families of martyrs and war disabled, 587 more apartments from the beginning of 2022, and 3587 apartments in the post-war period.

In general, more than 12,500 families of martyrs and war disabled people were provided with apartments or private houses in the past period.

In the post-war period, 264 war disabled people were given cars.

To date, 7,450 people from this category have been provided with cars.

In the post-war period, more than 13,000 people, including family members of martyrs, war participants, victims of Armenian terrorism, were involved in active employment programs, including 7,800 people in self-employment programs.

As of July 1 of this year, 2,423 martyrs' family members and veterans were provided with jobs based on the vacancies presented by 649 employers who joined the "Employment Marathon".

Also, 28,500 social-psychological support and rehabilitation services were provided to more than 9,000 people, and 20,766 rehabilitation tools were given to 1,456 war disabled persons.

According to the instructions of the head of state, since December 2020, provision of war disabled people with high-tech prostheses has been started. Within the framework of this program, 200 soldiers of the Patriotic War and a total of 300 war disabled people have been provided with high-tech last generation prostheses.

41,000 people were provided services to the families of martyrs and servicemen injured in the war in single coordination centers, where services were provided in 26 directions by the central and district (city) executive authorities from one window, operative, transparent, based on the principle of citizen satisfaction.

In the framework of social support, one-time financial aid and food support were also provided.

In general, as of July 1, 2022, social support measures that are still ongoing in the post-war period covered up to 100,000 people, including members of martyrs' families, war participants, and victims of Armenian terrorism, and 191,000 services were provided to them.

It should be noted that providing support to martyr family members and veterans is one of the most priority tasks of the state.

At the same time, many state institutions continue to provide employment and support measures for the family members of martyrs and veterans.
