The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Faton Peci, has spoken about the support that this department is offering to the country's farmers.

He stated that the ministry he leads has increased support for this category.

Among other things, Minister Peci said that the Kosovo farmer is the leader of support in the region, as he made a comparison with Serbia, where he said that there a hectare of wheat is subsidized with 68 euros, while in Kosovo it is 474 euros.

"The Ministry of Agriculture has increased support for farmers.

The Kosovo farmer is the leader of support in the region.

In Serbia, one hectare of wheat is subsidized by 68 euros, while in Kosovo, 474 euros.

This 474 euros is the minimum for those farmers who take care in all stages, from planting, fertilizing, spraying," he said on Channel 10.

"Last year, we announced subsidies in September, due to the effects of the pandemic on farmers.

We had to work to improve the situation we had in the ministry", declared Peci.
