The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (IKSHPK) has announced that Kosovo continues to record the increase of new cases of COVID-19 with a trend of growth in the following days.

According to their announcement, it is said that a case of death from the COVID-19 virus was reported today.

Further in the announcement, it is stated that in various countries of the world, numerous cases of COVID-19 are being registered.

"Please wear masks indoors and get vaccinated.

Kosovo continues to record an increase in new cases of COVID-19 with a tendency to increase in the following days.

Unfortunately, a case of death from this disease was reported today.

In various countries of the world, numerous cases of COVID-19 are being registered, because the COVID-19 pandemic is not over," the announcement states.

The IKSHPK also informs that they are continuing without interruption with the testing and tracking of all cases, contacts of cases in the community and laboratory diagnosis, therefore all persons with headache, cough, sore throat, difficulty in breathing, runny nose, fever, lethargy , loss of taste, are recommended to be tested.

"In order to strengthen immunity and prevent new cases and severe forms of the disease, citizens are advised to be vaccinated, with the first, second and third dose, all persons over the age of 12 can be vaccinated;

with the fourth dose, persons over 60 years of age can be vaccinated, provided that four months have passed since receiving the third dose", the announcement states.

Likewise, the Ministry of Health and the IKSHPK recommend that citizens, despite the calm and stable epidemiological situation in the country, be careful in implementing preventive measures against contagious diseases and get vaccinated against COVID-19.
