Large-scale social support measures are being implemented for the families of martyrs and war participants in the period after the 44-day Patriotic War, in which the Azerbaijani Army won a historic victory under the leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Muzaffar Ilham Aliyev.

In the past period, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population assigned up to 16,000 social payments (Presidential scholarship, allowance or pension) to 8,000 family members of the martyrs of the Patriotic War, disability and related social payments were assigned to 3,151 war participants.

In the current year, the process of assigning the President's monthly pension to 81,856 people named "War veteran" has been completed.

In total, 104,000 social payments were assigned to 93,000 people.

Social payments were made proactively through the electronic system, without citizens' appeals.

The amount of social payments for the families of martyrs, war disabled has been increased by an average of 60% in 2021-2022.

From January 1, 2021, the President's scholarship was established for the Heroes of the Patriotic War, and from January 1, 2022, the President's scholarship was established for the veterans of the Patriotic War.

One of the important social support measures is the provision of housing and private houses to the families of martyrs and war disabled people.

This program was expanded 5 times in 2021.

Last year, 3,000 apartments were given to the families of martyrs and war disabled, 587 more apartments from the beginning of 2022, and 3587 apartments in the post-war period.

In general, more than 12,500 families of martyrs and war disabled people were provided with apartments or private houses in the past period.


As part of the support measures, the work of providing vehicles to the disabled during the war was also continued.

In the post-war period, 264 war disabled people were given cars.

To date, 7,450 people from this category have been provided with cars.


In the post-war period, more than 13,000 people, including family members of martyrs, war participants, victims of Armenian terrorism, were involved in active employment programs, including 7,800 people in self-employment programs.

As of July 1 of this year, 2,423 martyrs' family members and veterans were provided with jobs based on the vacancies presented by 649 employers who joined the "Employment Marathon".


Also, 28,500 social-psychological support and rehabilitation services were provided to more than 9,000 people, and 20,766 rehabilitation tools were given to 1,456 war disabled persons.

According to the instructions of the head of state, since December 2020, provision of war disabled people with high-tech prostheses has been started. Within the framework of this program, 200 soldiers of the Patriotic War and a total of 300 war disabled people have been provided with high-tech last generation prostheses.


41,000 people were provided services to the families of martyrs and military personnel injured in the war in single coordination centers, where services were provided in 26 directions by the central and district (city) executive authorities from one window, on the basis of the principle of operational, transparent and citizen satisfaction.

In the framework of social support, one-time financial aid and food support were also provided.


In general, as of July 1, 2022, social support measures that are still ongoing in the post-war period covered up to 100,000 people, including members of martyrs' families, war participants, and victims of Armenian terrorism, and 191,000 services were provided to them.
