The director of the Hospital Service of the University Clinic of Kosovo (SHSKUK), Valbon Krasniqi, after the meeting he held with the directors of general hospitals, said that the topic of discussion was planning for the management of COVID-19.

Krasniqi announced that today they will officially apply to the Ministry of Health for the addition of nurses in the management of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said that currently the situation is calm and the number of people lying in the hospitals and clinics of KKUK is around 40.

"With the trend of increasing epidemiological cases, we as SHSKUK must be prepared, as we have always been, to cope with any greater flow of patients.

Right now the situation is calm, the number of people lying in our hospitals and in KKUK is around 40 and we have pandemic management plans for cases that will require hospitalization...

At the level of SHSKUK, we will continue to provide services in a regular manner since the number of patients lying in our clinics is not large and allows us to continue with normal services", said Krasniqi.

Meanwhile, the director of the Infectious Disease Clinic, Arben Vishaj, in a statement for the Telegraph, said that at the moment nine patients have been admitted to this clinic, where two of them, as he said, are in a slightly more serious condition.

According to him, the situation in this clinic is generally stable.

"At the moment, the situation is stable at the Infectious Disease Clinic.

At the moment, we have nine patients hospitalized, two of whom are in a slightly more serious condition, otherwise the others have a stable clinical condition.

We are monitoring the situation...we currently have no patients with COVID-19 admitted to the intensive care unit", said Vishaj.
