The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani, has stated that the French proposal does not give any reason for revolts or anti-EU speeches, as the proposal protects all Macedonian demands.

"With this wording in the frame, the fear about the language is unfounded.

Now for the first time we have a chance to close this issue.

Citizens have the right to protest, criticize and engage in political activities, but this entire anti-narrative is based on incorrect, erroneous interpretations of the French package," said the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani.

In his appearance on TV Sitel, Osmani underlined that there is no Bulgarianization or imposition and no one can change the textbooks.

Such speculations, he said, are scaremongering that are used to score political points and are not in the interest of citizens.

At this stage, Osmani emphasizes, there is no clearer formulation for the language than there is in the framework proposed by the French presidency.

The framework has nothing to do with the Protocol, while the Protocol will be published, as the head of diplomacy said, before his meeting with Bulgarian Minister Teodora Gençovska.

According to Osman, the logic of remaining blocked so that Bulgaria does not block us in the future is an irrational approach.

"All public speculation about the proposal is baseless, people are needlessly upset, the language is clear, historical issues are not a benchmark for progress in the process, there is a "full" start to negotiations immediately after we give a pass on this process.

There is no Bulgarianization, no imposition, no one can change our books and monuments.

These are intimidations that are used to score political points and are in no way in the interest of the citizens.

Citizens' interest now is to move towards the EU and strengthen democratic institutions.

Let's start the process and during the negotiations we will overcome all the differences", Osmani emphasized.

He also explained that unilateral statements have no legal significance, but are for internal use only.

"Bulgaria, although it means something to its public, will vote for a framework in which the Macedonian language is pure.

And we are now trying to get caught up in something that is completely irrelevant in the conditions when for the first time in our history we have such a document and proposal accepted by Bulgaria.

All along, the Bulgarian position was that there was no way for the Macedonian language to be in the frame.

It has been requested that it be the "official language" of North Macedonia.

Then there were other options, for now, this solution is absolutely clean.

If we had written the framework ourselves, we could not have written the language differently.

These are the formulations", Osmani said.

For the session scheduled for Thursday, the agenda of which will include the French proposal, Osmani emphasized that the most important will be the conclusions, namely the directions that will be sent to the Government.

"The most important will be the conclusions of the Assembly, in which the Government will be given a clear mandate on what can and cannot be done during the negotiation process.

I have some information about what conclusions the parliamentary groups are discussing.

I think that the conclusions will have an important weight to give direction", said the minister.

During the visit, Osmani said that we must end the cycle of hatred we entered with Bulgaria.
