The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani, today held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavski, in which case he expressed his support for the state's progress in the integration process.

Osmani assured the interlocutor that membership in the European Union is the main state interest and primary priority of North Macedonia's foreign policy.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the need for the rapid and dynamic realization of the European perspective of the Western Balkan countries to guarantee stability, stability and development of the Western Balkan region in the current uncertain geopolitical context.

In this regard, Minister Lipavski emphasized the readiness for the quick organization of the first Intergovernmental Conference, after North Macedonia approves the European proposal.

The two interlocutors reiterated the key aspects of the compromise proposal, which brings the country closer to the European Union, taking into account our interests in terms of the pure formulation of the Macedonian language;

the absence of historical issues in the negotiating framework and the immediate start of membership negotiations.
