Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski announced on Facebook that the Central Board of SDSM last night held a session in which it brought a decision supporting the process of starting negotiations with the EU.

Kovačevski writes that SDSM is the party that stands firmly in the definition of unconditional respect for the language, identity, history and culture of the Macedonian people.

"LSDM, as a state-forming party, remains steadfast in its determination to unconditionally respect the language, identity, historical and cultural features of the Macedonian people, as elements that cannot be negotiated with the EU under any circumstances.

SDSM expects these determinations and principles to be supported by all political subjects in the Assembly, drawing further conclusions for the European proposal, in accordance with parliamentary procedures", writes Kovacevski, who adds that "we have a proposal, which guarantees clean language Macedonians in the EU, historical and bilateral issues outside the framework of negotiations".

"Our country is facing a very important decision for its future and the realization of another strategic goal, the opening of negotiations with the European Union with the Macedonian language preserved and secured in the EU.

This means the final closure of all identity issues", Kovacevski wrote on social networks.
