The fire that broke out in an open field near the village of Aghalig, Shabran region, was extinguished thanks to the prompt and urgent measures taken by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

APA reports referring to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that as a result of the fire, according to preliminary estimates, about 40 hectares of harvested cropland and 15 hectares of bushes and mostly dry trees burned.

Other mowed and unmowed farmlands, densely forested areas, public catering and communication facilities were protected from fire.

In the firefighting operation, the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Civil Defense troops, Special Risk Rescue Service and the forces of the Northern Regional Center, representatives of the local police departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Shabran and surrounding regions, employees of the Forestry Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Shabran District Executive Power relevant techniques and local villagers participated.
