President Stevo Pendarovski points out that Russia produces extremely serious hybrid threats to the entire Balkan region, especially political propaganda and a disinformation campaign.

"In North Macedonia, their complexity and intensity is the same as in 2018, during the referendum after the Prespa Agreement.

"I don't have complete knowledge about other countries, but some weak points in the region are well known to Moscow and it is certainly trying to penetrate," says Pendarovski in an interview with the Greek newspaper Etnos.

Regarding the French proposal, President Pendarovski repeated that for him it is a kind of temporary compromise.

"After 17 years in the waiting room, we were finally going to start negotiations for membership and that is its biggest benefit.

However, after the screening process, there is a precondition for the continuation of the negotiations, and that is the amendment with which the Bulgarians must be included in the Constitution of Macedonia.

Given the current political divisions, the chances are very small that any political party will secure a two-thirds majority in the Assembly that would support that constitutional amendment," adds Pendarovski./Telegrafi/
