In the village of Novaya Sloboda of the Sumy region of Ukraine, about 600 people, including children, women and the elderly, who were killed by the Nazis in 1942, were commemorated.

APA was informed about this by the Honorary Consulate of Azerbaijan in Kharkiv.

It was reported that in 2020, the Honorary Consulate of Azerbaijan proposed the construction of an information board about the Khojaly Genocide at the "Bell of Sorrow" monument.

Thus, an information board dedicated to the massacres of Kryukova, Liditse, Khatyn, and Pirchupis was added to the "Call of Sadness" memorial.

An information stand about the Khojaly genocide has already been installed in the memorial complex.

It was noted that the memorial complex was taken under the auspices of the Honorary Consulate of Azerbaijan, and support is provided for its maintenance and improvement.
