Georgi Semerdzhiev was brought in as an accused by the prosecutor's office, detained for 72 hours and is in the capital detention center.

The employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Simona Radeva, works at the First Police Station in Sofia.

The policewoman gave information to Semerdzhiev about the location of the patrols in the capital, as well as provided him with police paraphernalia.

She helped Semerdzhiev to hide after the serious accident on Cherni Vrah Blvd., in which two girls died.

She was forcibly taken to the capital investigation for questioning, and the state declared war on drugged people behind the wheel.

The investigators have established that Semerdzhiev called for help to an employee at the capital's Parvo police station.

She helped him get a ladder to get into the apartment where he was caught, BTV reports.

Blood samples were taken from Semerdzhiev and the policewoman who helped him to hide

Earlier today, the prosecutor's office indicted Semerdzhiev.

During his arrest, the driver refused to give a blood sample for alcohol and drugs.

He did not give his consent, so it will be after the permission of the court, he will be tested today, said Yasen Todorov, deputy director of the NSLS.

It is not clear whether the questioning of the police officer Simona Radeva continues at this point or whether it has ended.

Since 2014, Semerdzhiev has been without a Bulgarian driver's license.

On June 11, the traffic police stopped him again - it turned out that he was driving under the influence of drugs.

"Only about 20 days before the accident, Semerdzhiev's license was revoked for driving a motor vehicle after using narcotic substances," said Radoslav Nachev, deputy director of the Traffic Police.

Then the police take his documents from Switzerland.

Today, the Traffic Police did not say whether Semerdzhiev was detained in the district police station.

"I have no information about what happened after that moment," added Tencho Tenev, head of the "Road Police"-SDVR.

In this case, pre-trial proceedings have been initiated.

Semerdzhiev has 80 points deducted.

"The driver who drives this car is a systemic drug addict," Tencho Tenev also said.

Semerdzhiev's brother does not know that he was driving without a license.

After the serious accident, the Ministry of the Interior launched a national campaign against driving under the influence of drugs, announced the resigned Prime Minister.

The chairman of the SOS in Sofia insists on additional manpower and doubling of patrols.

20,000 are sanctioned violators by the capital's video surveillance cameras.
