Turkish security forces have neutralized 20 terrorists from the Kurdistan Workers' Party/People's Protection Forces in northern Syria, the Ministry of Defense announced today, quoted by the Anadolu Agency.

The ministry said the terrorists were neutralized as part of the anti-terrorist operations "Olive Branch" and "Euphrates Shield" that Turkey is conducting in northern Syria.

Since 2016, Ankara has undertaken several cross-border anti-terrorist operations in northern Syria to prevent the creation of a terrorist corridor and allow the peaceful settlement of residents: "Euphrates Shield" (2016), "Olive Branch" (2018) and "Fountain of peace" (2019).
