The UN and the European Commission (EC) will hold the first high-level dialogue in New York on July 7-8.

APA reports that Stefan Dujarric, the official representative of the UN, said this.

According to him, the event will be chaired by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

"During several sessions, the participants will discuss a number of major problems facing the international community and ways to expand cooperation," the UN official said.

He said that the meeting will discuss peace and security, climate change, human rights, interaction in the digital sphere, as well as the situation in the global economy.

"The parties will also touch on the situation in Ukraine, including the food, energy and financial crisis," said Dujarric.
