The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, declared that Serbia cannot quickly give up its dependence on Russian gas.

Rama gave the statement to the Dutch newspaper "De Volkskrant", where he was asked what the European Union should do with Serbia, after the latter signed a hydrocarbon contract with Russia.

"Be very careful and don't blindly ask what Serbia cannot provide.

Serbia cannot quickly get rid of its dependence mainly on Russian gas, but voted against Russia's invasion three times at the United Nations.

This is unique and new, no one expected this.

But the Balkans remain an unprotected chain", the head of the government emphasized.

According to Rama, the war in Ukraine can easily disrupt stability and even lead to open conflict.
