The forecast that this field will further develop with the increase in demand for cloud-based services in Azerbaijan, the introduction of new technologies and the intensification of investments makes it necessary to prepare a long-term and sustainable strategy for the "Government Cloud" project.

It was noted that in order to prepare the concept of the "Government Cloud" project and ensure its quality and effective implementation, the experience of a number of countries such as the United States, Great Britain, Turkey, Norway, Ireland and Estonia was studied, as well as experience was exchanged with numerous international companies.

Currently, the preparation of the long-term development strategy of "Government Cloud" and the migration issues of state institutions are being discussed.

It should be noted that the process of creating the "Government Cloud" is carried out by "AzInTelecom" LLC under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport based on the Decree of the head of the country dated June 3, 2019.

As a result of the integration of state information systems and resources into a single platform, conditions will be created for optimization of management, effective organization of coordination, and further increase of flexibility and efficiency of electronic services provided to the population.

Note that since 2013, the number of cloud computing applications has increased from 545 to 1427 different services.
