New controversies are emerging every day in the case of Alt News co-founder Mohammad Zubair.

In the latest case, fact-checking website Alt News on Tuesday alleged that its donor data was shared with the police by payment gateway Razorpay without his knowledge.

Razorpay, without mentioning Alt News's allegation, said that it was mandatory to comply with the written orders of the legal authorities under the provisions of the law. 

Following a request from the police, Razorpay had deactivated the Alt News account on its platform and later reactivated it.

Alt News said that the donor platform had told them that their account had been reactivated after getting some clarity.

The fact-checking website said that they have not clarified what this clarity is.

He alleged that Razorpay had handed over the data of the donors of Alt News to the police without informing him. 

Let us inform that the Delhi Police is probing the donations received by Alt News and its co-founder Mohammad Zubair has been arrested by it.
