The Danish government has ratified the NATO membership of Sweden and Finland.

APA reports that Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod said this on Twitter.

"The ratification of NATO membership of Finland and Sweden by Denmark is ready.

We hope that it will be ratified soon by all allies," the Danish Foreign Minister noted.

It is the first and fastest ratification among the 30 NATO allies since Finland and Sweden signed protocols on joining the Alliance at noon.

It should be noted that Norway and Iceland have already declared that they are ready to submit their ratification documents to the United States.
