The end of the academic season, as well as the beginning of the summer vacation period, leads to a decrease in passenger traffic in the Baku metro.

According to the information provided to "APA-Economics" by "Baku Metropoliten" CJSC, for this reason, changes are being made in the schedule of trains in the metro.

The last time the summer schedule was applied in 2019.

Until that year, peak hours were considered to be from 7:30 to 9:30 in the morning, and from 17:30 to 19:30 in the evening.

Taking into account the possible characteristics of this year's summer period, the main change to the schedule is the application of the rush hour principle from 7:00 to 21:00.

According to the new seasonal schedule, the interval between trains moving from "Hazi Aslanov" station to "28 May" station and in the opposite direction will be 2.5 minutes during the main passenger flow hours.

In the early morning and at night, when there are few passengers, a traffic schedule calculated at intervals of 3 minutes or more has been drawn up in this area.

Taking into account the connection of the lines at the "28 May" station, the interval between trains from the "28 May" station to the "Icherisheher" and "Darnagul" stations will be twice as long - 5 minutes during the main traffic flow hours, 6 minutes and more at other times.

On Saturdays and Sundays, as well as holidays, the interval between trains in the Baku metro will be 3 minutes from 07:00 to 21:00.

In addition to the above, monitoring of passenger flow and its directions, as well as all other issues affecting the regulation of passenger transportation, will be continued every day at all times of the day.

Apart from this, spare trains will be provided and released on the line if necessary.

There were no changes to the schedule of trains on the purple line and Khatai-Jafar Jabbarli apartment.

It was noted that due to the connection of the lines at the "28 May" station and the fact that the electric depot is not located at the end of the line, at certain times of the day, passengers observe the movement of two trains in the direction of "Darnagul" or "Icherishehar" in the area of "Hazi Aslanov-Ulduz" in a number of cases, sometimes one they come across as big an interval.

This is due to the departure of trains to the "Narimanov" electric depot for the purpose of maintenance and also to the line from the "Bakmil" station.

The summer schedule is expected to remain in effect until the start of the new school year.

Taking into account the interest of passengers, the schedule of trains to "Bakmil" station and in the opposite direction is published on the day when the new schedule comes into force and in the relevant section of the official website of "Baku Metropoliteni" JSC.
