After the expulsion of 70 diplomats from Bulgaria, the Russian embassy cannot work normally.

According to APA's Moscow correspondent, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this at a joint press conference on the results of his talks with his Venezuelan counterpart.

Lavrov said that Russia will respond to this step of Bulgaria.

He said that the decision to expel 70 employees of the Russian embassy in Bulgaria was due to Washington's pressure on Sofia.

"This is a decision with a completely open and unambiguous pro-American position and not an independent decision of the acting Prime Minister. They want to kill the historical memory not only of Bulgaria, but also of other peoples in the Balkans, by the way, Orthodox peoples," the Russian Foreign Minister emphasized.
