The group of countries against corruption of the Council of Europe - GREKO, has concluded that North Macedonia has made progress in implementing the recommendations in the fourth round of evaluation report, encouraging the country to continue with the anti-corruption activities.

Modest progress has been made in the prevention of corruption among MPs, judges and prosecutors, estimates the Group of Countries Against Corruption of the Council of Europe - GREKO, in the second report on harmonization that was published today in Strasbourg, which evaluates the measures taken by the RMV authorities. -'s, Klan M reports, Telegrafi conveys.

"Out of a total of 19 recommendations, nine have been fully implemented, nine partially and one recommendation has not been implemented" - announced the Ministry of Justice.

Regarding the judiciary, GREKO has noticed the expansion of the volume of sanctions applied to judges, referring to Article 78 paragraph 2 of the Law on Courts.

As for the Prosecutors, GREKO has welcomed the adoption of the new code of ethics that includes a comprehensive range of rules related to integrity.

Regarding the system of presenting the property situation, it has been established that the presented statistical data show a more efficient implementation of this system in practice.

The number of administrative controls carried out by Anticorruption has increased and resulted in the identification of violations against procedural bases.
