The excellent poet Nasta Kudasava wrote a post on Facebook about voluntary, "from the heart" occupation.

Indeed, it often seems that people choose the Russian language themselves, and it also happens that one wants to despair.

But then you ask yourself: what am I doing abroad, knowing every minute that my place is at home?

I am here because there is a summons to the Investigative Committee at home.

This is not a voluntary occupation at all.

This is conscious or unconscious mimicry, forced adaptation, "hiding in potatoes".

It is human nature to be afraid, especially now.

Naturally, few people will admit to this, and therefore they will say that it is voluntary and from the heart, they say, relax, everything is fine.

But he is not convincing others, but himself.

He seems to live normally in Belarus, but still it is better to avoid the policeman at a distance.

I cannot imagine any Belarusian who would not live with the premonition of the danger of search, torture, arrest.

It doesn't matter which camp that Belarusian is from - they are all in the same concentration camp.

And what is it like to speak Belarusian?

That is, to put forward, to show, to challenge.

Such a voluntary act.

This is not a solution at all - to recognize mimicry as a voluntary choice of the Russian language.

On the contrary.

My Babruy peer mentioned that Jewish families never talked about the Holocaust.

And this failure to speak does not appear to be voluntary.

And in Belarusian families, they never talked about 1937 and about the night of the shot poets, about the destruction of all "nationalists".

Tried to forget so as not to cause trouble?

They forgot - as a result, the evil one woke up.

We have even come to such a formula that even if the state does not interfere, Belarus will rise on its own.

Although nowhere without a state did Palshchyna, Lithuania, or Ukraine rise normally.

But we believe in ourselves so much that we say: just don't get in the way.

After all, it almost never happened that the state did not interfere.

For the last thirty years, she has been killing everything Belarusian.

But it is impossible to kill everything.

Very quickly it grows back like an otawa.

But let's not convince ourselves that this happens voluntarily.

Thousands of our dear people are sitting in prisons for the biggest reason - for their Belarusianness, Belarusianness, Belarusian language.

Not voluntarily.

Hundreds of thousands left through the same.

The pogrom of Knigavki, the destruction of Belarusian journalism, Belarusian civil society, Belarusian society... We must forgive our compatriots for their mimicry caused by circumstances and genetic memory.

No one has to go to the feat.

But when we talk about volunteering, it's as if we choose this personal despair, but we say at the same time: "We've passed."

I will not talk about Nastya here, because I know that she will not "pass" and will remind everyone with her strong poetic lines about the pilot Akrestin, and about the pogroms, and about the Holocaust.

You should always remember the disaster.

But there is no sense in teasing geese.
