The head of the Alliance for Albanians, Ziadin Sela, after the meeting with the head of the Government, Dimitar Kovacevski, said that they have accepted the new French proposal and that they will examine it in order not to leave room for it to be misinterpreted in public.

"Today we received the proposal, which we will certainly examine in detail in the party bodies, especially in the central leadership", said Sela, adding that this is done to leave as little room for misinterpretation as possible.

Sela said that the Alliance for Albanians maintains that the country's only alternative should be the EU and that it is against any kind of initiative to replace the same.

"A few days ago, before the summit was held in the EU, I appealed to political subjects and politicians to take the French proposal more seriously because now it is no longer just about accepting or not accepting the French proposal, it is about for the big dilemma of whether North Macedonia will continue on its journey towards the EU or if this journey will be interrupted, ASh is on the side of continuing this European journey, we are on the side of not creating other alternatives, whatever they may be called Open Balkans.

The only alternative for North Macedonia and the region should be the European Union and nothing else," said Sela.
