Police in Denmark say several people have been shot by gunfire at a shopping mall in Copenhagen.

According to foreign media, the Telegraph reports, they are advising anyone inside the mall to stay inside and wait for help, and have warned others to stay away.

It is learned that the shooting took place in the shopping center in Field.

Copenhagen police say their officers are now present "in large numbers" in the centre.

It is not yet known how many people may have been killed or injured.

All roads there and the subway line connecting it to the city center have been closed and ambulance and fire crews have arrived.
