Even today, the negotiations of "Continuing the Change" (PP) continue in the parliament to form a cabinet in the 47th National Assembly.

All about the topic:

Tremors in the 468 coalition

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance in resignation Asen Vasilev, who is also a candidate for Prime Minister, and the negotiating team of the PP will seek support from the MPs who left "There is such a people" and became non-members of the parliamentary group.

Yesterday, the PP spoke successively with their coalition partners from "BSP for Bulgaria" and "Democratic Bulgaria" (DB).

This is what PP and BSP agreed on for a new government

I strongly believe that we will be able to form a government that will continue to work for the interests of Bulgaria, just like the first cabinet, Asen Vassilev announced after the meeting with the BSP.

And he pointed out that the PP and the left have reached an agreement on the priorities of the government, as well as on the preparation in a short period of time of a program to be adopted at the political level and in which there are clear deadlines and commitments for the reforms and the necessary activities until the end of the year .

We made a clear account of the weaknesses we showed, one of them was that we did not prepare a clear program with tasks and deadlines from the beginning, said in turn the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Industry in resignation Kornelia Ninova, who is also the leader of the BSP .

According to her, it was agreed that teams of three people would prepare a program with political priorities and a specific legislative program for six months.

Ninova outlined short-term and medium-term tasks that they are committed to in the administration - the funds under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan, the accompanying 22 laws and the preparation of the budget for 2023. As long-term intentions, she indicated serious reforms in various sectors and changing the old management model the state.

From the left, they want to continue social policies, and emphasize education and health care.

The two political formations have reported previous mistakes in communication, so they will propose a new way of decision-making in the coalition council with the construction of a secretariat.

The chairman of the parliamentary group of "Democratic Bulgaria" Hristo Ivanov also spoke about the need for better communication between the executive and legislative powers, as well as within the coalition, after the meeting with the Prime Minister.

It became clear that "Democratic Bulgaria" has confirmed its readiness to support the mandate holder from "We continue the Change".

Ivanov emphasized that it is important for DB to stabilize the country, to broadcast governance, and to do so with the first mandate.

According to him, new elections could lead to more confrontation, division in society and a parliament that is even more fragmented and unable to project governance.

"We must all understand that pushing the country towards elections is irresponsible and will be punished by the voters," Ivanov said.

He announced the priorities of the DB - constitutional reform, energy independence, Schengen, the Eurozone, the modernization of our armed forces and the general modernization and strengthening of the "Security" sector. He also identified more active activities in cultural policies and demography as important. Hristo Ivanov noted, that DB have not drawn red lines and believe that there are national tasks to work on.

As with "BSP for Bulgaria", we have a clear vision, with clear priorities and a tight program, which must be worked out next week, starting from Monday, Asen Vasilev pointed out after the meeting with DB.

In the words of Cornelia Ninova, the issues of cabinet and ministers are left for the second stage of the talks between PP and BSP, because "it is more important at the moment to prepare the program and the legislative framework on which the parliament will work in the next six months".

The structure and personnel of a possible new government have not been discussed yet, it became clear from the words of Asen Vasilev after the meeting between PP and DB.
