The driver of a truck in Britain has admitted in the court session that he had deliberately hit his girlfriend's house, inside which their two children were, with a trailer.

Derek Wellington had moved backwards and crashed into his partner's house in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, causing extensive material damage to the two-storey house, which has partially collapsed as a result, reports the Telegraph.

The damages caused are reported to reach the value of 520 thousand euros.

The 34-year-old was released on bail after earlier attacking his girlfriend Sara Cassidy in a hotel room in Edinburgh.

He was ordered to stay as far away as possible from the 33-year-old, whom he followed, wrote various messages on the walls of the house and tortured her psychologically.

But despite the court order, the pair had kept in touch and a few moments before he crashed the truck into her house, he had called them several times.

According to court documents, the situation escalated when she refused to meet him and he made it clear on the phone that he would park the truck in her living room.

Security cameras have captured the moment when Wellington hits his partner's house with a trailer.
