Udaipur:

The Udaipur administration on Saturday announced that the curfew would be relaxed for four hours today, after the ongoing controversy following the brutal murder of tailor Kanhaiya Lal in broad daylight was pacified.

Internet services will still be suspended.

In fact, amidst unequal peace in the city, the Jagannath Yatra concluded peacefully amidst tight security arrangements yesterday.

After this, today the administration has decided to relax.

It is known that 48-year-old Kanhaiya Lal was murdered by two people on Tuesday.

The criminals also made a video of the murder, which they shared on social media. 

Police arrested the killers

At the same time, later the killers Riyaz Akhtari and Ghaus Mohammad put another video in which they confessed to the murder and also threatened to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

At present, both have been arrested.

Besides him, five others have been taken into custody.

Both have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

Udaipur police under criticism

Significantly, the tailor has been killed for posting a social media in support of suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma whose remarks on Prophet Muhammad caused widespread outrage.

He was constantly being threatened by the accused.

He had complained to the police about the threat.

But after that Kanhaiya Lal was not provided security.

As a result he was murdered.

Due to this the Udaipur Police has come under criticism.

In the wake of the murder, 32 officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS), including the Inspector General and Superintendent of Police, Udaipur, have been transferred.

The Union Home Ministry has handed over the investigation of the case to the country's top anti-terrorism agency, the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Investigators say the killers had links to the Pakistan-based group Dawat-e-Islami and one of them had even gone to Karachi in 2014.

Rajasthan police chief ML Lather said the tailor's murder was a well-planned terror incident and more people were involved.
