Despite the fact that the Government is convinced that the Draft Civil Code will pass in the Assembly, the deputies, who voted against, do not think so.

In fact, it seems that the majority of the 14 deputies of the ruling party, who had voted against, have not changed their opinion either.

They continue to demand that the article regulating the issue of cohabitation between persons of the same sex be removed from the draft civil code.

Before the summer vacation, the members of the Assembly of Kosovo will discuss an important topic.

Draft Code – Civil will go to vote again.

However, despite the conviction of the Ministry of Justice that the draft code will be passed, the Government has not managed to change the minds of the deputies who strongly opposed this point the first time.

Member of Guxo List, Burim Meta says that I will vote the same again.

"Absolutely, we are not here to change our minds at the drop of a hat.

I have given my four suggestions, I have proposed four amendments to be made with additions and changes, and if such a thing is not realized, I will still give my opinion through my vote and of course I will vote against", said MP Burim Meta .

If Meta, the head of the Parliamentary Commission for Human Rights, Duda Balje, will also act.

"If they made a change, we are fine, because we have not had any problems with the Civil Code.

It is five books and we know that it is the most important Law after the Constitution in the country.

But, if they have not made changes in these two articles, I personally am still against it", said deputy Duda Balje.

However, according to the deputy of Vetëvendosje, Visar Korenica, the Government has promised to make some changes in the draft code.

"Yes, we have and the proposal was that there will be a change, and that's why I say that I can't give a definite answer regarding this information that you have, so it's better to wait for the draft civil code to come first in Assembly, let me go through the relevant commissions and then we will give our opinion", said deputy Visar Korenica.

Nazlie Balaj, advisor at the Ministry of Justice, has stated for Dukagjini Television that the draft code will be passed.

14 deputies of the Vetëvendosje Movement had voted against it.
