The spread of the coronavirus in the DPRK occurred after a North Korean soldier and a child came into contact with "foreign" objects on the border with South Korea.

According to APA, "Reuters" agency reported this with reference to the Korean Central News Agency.

"An 18-year-old soldier surnamed Kim and a five-year-old boy surnamed Wee were found to have come into contact with foreign objects on a hill near the barracks and residential areas in Ipoo-ri in early April," it was noted.
