The Kosovo Police has announced that today it conducted an inspection of a two-story facility in Leshak of Leposaviq, where it found equipment for the cultivation of cannabis worth hundreds of thousands of euros.

The announcement states that "Kosovo Police, today on 01.07.2022, after preliminary investigations, submitted a request for a control order to the judicial authorities for the control of an object owned by the suspect GJ, in Leshak i Leposaviqi, as the object was suspected of the cannabis plant was cultivated".

"After receiving this order, today on 01.07.2022, at around 10:10, during the inspection of the building, on its two floors, equipment for the cultivation of cannabis worth hundreds of thousands of euros was found", the announcement states. , Telegrafi reports.

According to the Police, the laboratory was well equipped and ready to start planting cannabis plants, so only the plants were missing, as everything else was ready.

"In consultation with the prosecutor, the seizure of the equipment that was found in that building has begun.

The suspect is on the run, and the police will continue with the investigation and completion of the case," the announcement states.

The news about finding the laboratory for the processing of narcotic substances in Leshak of Leposaviq was announced earlier by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Sveçla, through a post on Facebook.

"Every day we understand more and more why certain circles do not want the extension of the rule of law and order in the entire Republic of Kosovo", wrote Sveçla.

He further congratulated the Kosovo Police units and said that "we will definitely not stop implementing our common mission".
