The new improved roaming regulation comes into force today.

This became clear yesterday from a message from the European Commission

(EC).

Roaming at Home, the scheme that allows EU and EEA travelers to call, text and use the internet abroad without extra charges, is being extended until 2032.

The new rules will also bring significant benefits to EU businesses and citizens, who will benefit from better roaming conditions, providing the same quality of mobile services abroad as at home.

They will improve access to emergency calls across the EU and ensure clear information is provided about services that may be subject to additional charges.
