The Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, has apologized to all the fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army and their families regarding a status he had made a few years ago for veterans.

In a post on Facebook, Murati said that the language he used was wrong, but that they did not intend to offend the soldiers and martyrs.

As he stated, those writings were made as a result of the fight with those who, according to him, "inflated" the lists of veterans for financial and political benefits and distorted the history of the war.

"The writings a few years ago were from Mllefi and those who at that time by inflating the lists for financial and political gains were distorting the history of the war and our collective truth.

I assure you that those writings were not aimed at offending soldiers and martyrs", wrote Murati.

"I admit that the language used then was wrong, so I apologize to all the KLA fighters and their families."
